While we're on the subject of summer '74, it might be worth mentioning that a new binaural AUD of 7/31/74 has come out, which not only is better than the old AUD but is said to equal Moore's 6/23/74 recording in quality. Look forward to it showing up here soon...

Exciting news. I am on the record as a huge fan of the Wall of Sound auds, the best 74 recordings just drip and ooze with presence and experiential richness in a really unique way. I wish I had an audiophile quality home stereo and a large acoustically correct listening room to hear them in, I know they would floor me even more under those circumstances.

There is an almost metaphysical quality to the aud vs sbd vs matrix debate, as to what captures the fullness of the music the best. (This is a good place for a random shoutout to Mr. Seamons, who I know reads this forum and often feels underappreciated. I love a good matrix! Thanks for your work.) Very cogent arguments can be made from each perspective, but thankfully, we don't have to choose, we can listen to everything, given sufficient time...
